The 2023 Zhongguancun Forum series event—the International Digital Economy Innovation Forum, themed “Empowering Quality through Digital Intelligence”—was held in Beijing’s Fengtai District. Through keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, the forum examined cutting-edge development trends from an international perspective, conducted in-depth analyses of the latest concepts and exemplary cases in the digital economy, and established a global platform for innovation and exchange, thereby driving the growth of high‑end, sophisticated, and emerging industries.

The event is guided by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Science Park Administrative Committee, and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Informatization, hosted by the People’s Government of Fengtai District, and organized by the Fengtai Park Management Committee of the Zhongguancun Science Park, the Fengtai District Bureau of Science, Technology and Informatization, and Zhongguancun International Convention & Exhibition Operation Management Co., Ltd.

Liu Hang, a second-level inspector with the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee; Han Xinxing, a member of the Standing Committee of the Fengtai District Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department; and Zhao Chunli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Fengtai Park of the Zhongguancun Science Park, among other leaders, highlighted the Fengtai District Digital Economy Industrial Park at the forum. Hu Shangyu, General Manager of Beijing Jiuzhou Optics Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tripole Optoelectronics, signed an agreement on behalf of Tripole Optoelectronicswith the Fengtai Park and the District Investment Promotion Center.

At the National Convention Center’s exhibition booth, a cutting-edge “holographic floating display” drew considerable attention. This exhibit is an imaging system specially designed for the China International Fair for Trade in Services.

“The core technology of the exhibit is large‑area holographic optical waveguides combined with holographic lens imaging, which can be applied in virtual sandboxes, exhibitions, and other fields. By scaling down the size, it can also be used in metaverse AR glasses to render far, mid, and near light fields, delivering a more immersive experience,” explained Hu Shangyu, a partner at Sanji Optoelectronics.

Company partner Hu Shangyu said, “Although we are a young enterprise, the organizing committee placed us in the Achievement Exhibition at our very first show, which underscores the fair’s strong emphasis on new technologies and emerging business models.” This year, they are showcasing a holographic floating‑display imaging system that allows viewers to see four layers of images suspended before them—without any glasses—exuding a distinctly futuristic vibe.

This time, Beijing Jiuzhou Optics Co., Ltd. has established the Northern Headquarters of Tripole Optoelectronicsin Beijing’s Fengtai District, making strategic investments in both national market development and R&D to accelerate the domestic implementation and application of holographic diffractive optics—a cutting-edge blue‑ocean industry.
